Ukitsu was a girl who has trained at Gogun High School alongside Taishiji Shigi, under the tutelage of Master Choukou.
Soul History[]
Ukitsu was a very skilled warrior who killed Hakufu Sonsaku at a very young age.
Appearance[]
Ukitsu is a dark skinned tomboy with short unkept black hair with an ahoge, blue eyes, and large breasts. She is usually seen wearing her Gogun highschool uniform, which consists of a short skirt, a button up short sleeve dress shirt, with a gray vest over it, and a very large red bow tie.
Personality[]
Ukitsu, like Hakufu, enjoyed fighting just for the thrill of it. Ukitsu was very friendly, as she saved and befriended Hakufu quite quickly. She also showed an interest towards Koukin, viewing him to be a pretty boy. Later this interest formed into a small crush, but she did not reveal it to him as she knew he had feelings for Hakufu.
Story (Manga)[]
The first time we saw Ukitsu in the manga is when Hakufu Sonsaku go to her school to fight her and confront herself to the destiny of her magatama. During the fight, she will make Hakufu lose control of herself by knocking down Koukin Shuuyu, trying to interrupt the fight after 30 minute of onesided beating to the advantage of Ukitsu.
When Hakufu went for the killing blow with one the Hyakuhekitou, one of the 5 sword forged by the first Moutoku Sousou from 1800 years ago that Hakufu obtain previously in the story, Ukitsu will be saved by Koukin interposing himself and being pierced by the "evil" sword. What make Hakufu awaken and regain control.
Later, Ukitsu is in a temple in the mountain, silent, the eyes looking in the void. Her master tell to her that he knew from the start that this would happen and that she probably think of him as a cruel teacher, adding that "everything goes according to fate". That "domination" and "history" consists of everybody being sacrifices. Her, Shuuyu and himself as well.
After that, we did not see her until the first volume of Shin Ikkitousen. It's her who give to Chuubou Sonken (true) her magatama. Directly after that, Nanyo Gakuen is attacked by Asaemon Yamada and "Indara" (written インダラ in the manga), two toushi from Kansai region.
Asaemon wipe out all the students effortlessly. (butchering them is more accurate...) Cutting both hands of Roshuku Shikei in the process. Ukitsu sensed the danger and remove her weight, saying at Sonken that she need to escape.
While Asaemon target and follow Sonken on the rooftop, Ukitsu is facing Indara and her underlings. The fight being not in her advantage.
After Sonken was saved by Shiryuu Chou-un, forcing Asaemon, overwhelmed by the simple presence of Chou-un, to retreat after a short exchange of sword blow, Indara appear at new to target Chou-un who can do nothing. Ukitsu being carried like a bag on the shoulders of one of the underlings and throw to the ground, beaten up. After the defeat of Chou-un, Sonken surrender, losing hope... But Indara don't care and order her underling to beat/kill her. Ukitsu, in a last effort, stand-up, grab her hand and start to race with her. Indara following them, throw a sword at Ukitsu, the Hyakuhekitou that was given to Sonken at the same time as her magatama. (which Hakufu use previously and stab Koukin with) and pierce her. Ukitsu fall throught a window.
Sonken lose control of her dragon and make a one side annihilation of the enemy. Asaemon coming back after sensing Indara in danger. And being also defeated rapidly.
Kyoshou Gakuin's Three God pillars (Koumei Jokou, Bunken Gakushin and Shungai Choukou) and Seito Gakuen's Koumei Shokatsuryou and Kanshou Kouchuu arrive at the scene and stop Sonken, preventing her to kill Indara. Sonken fall unconscious.
Later, the last time we saw Ukitsu is on her bed after receiving some heal from Shiyu Shokatsukin, still unconscious.
Story (Anime)[]
Ikkitousen[]
Ukitsu is first seen saving Hakufu from two perverted men at the Karaoke bar, who were trying to have their way with them. She later walks with Hakufu, up until they found Genjou Kakouton fighting a bunch of fighters. She decides to leave not thinking anything of the fight, as well as stating that she could not wait for their match.
Ukitsu is next seen requesting for Hakufu to fight her. Hakufu accepts the challenge but is unable to fight do to Chuuei Toutaku's technique infecting her body. Ukitsu realizes this technique will slowly kill her if Toutaku himself does not remove it. Ukitsu leaves, and tells Koukin that she and Hakufu will fight later on.
Ukitsu is next seen saving the students of Nanyo from a Toutaku possessed Hakufu, by using he energy to awaken the dragon inside Hakufu. With the dragon awoken, Hakufu is able to take back her body from Toutaku. Ukitsu then tells Hakufu that their match will be tomorrow.
Ukitsu then finally meets with Hakufu and their match finally gets under way. Ukitsu has the upper hand at first with her technique and skills far outclassing those of Hakufu, but Hakufu is not done yet as her dragon is released. Ukitsu is now the one outmatched and is not able to keep up with her. Hakufu is stopped though, due to Koukin's intervention bringing her back to her senses. Ukitsu then agree with Hakufu stating that they only wanted to fight and not follow some destiny. Ukitsu is next seen getting ready to fight Hakufu, to see who would conquer whose school.
Ikkitousen: Dragon Destiny[]
Ukitsu is seen only when needed to awaken the dragon inside of Hakufu. To do so, she had to fight Hakufu in an uncontrolled dragon state. She was able to awaken Hakufu's consciousness enabling Hakufu to control her dragon state.
Ukitsu is then seen saving Hakufu from Shiryuu Chou-un's attack, who was ordered to stop Hakufu's dragon in case she was unable to control it by Koumei Shokatsuryou, convincing Shiryuu that Hakufu was able to do so. Ukitsu is then seen unconscious which eventually leads to her death as she had used all of her life to try and help Hakufu awaken her dragon.
